Destroy Any Website is a rather unusual action game that uses websites as its battleground. Instead of entering a pre-designed map, you can choose a public website and turn its content into a level. Text, images, empty spaces, and other elements on the page can all become obstacles or targets for you to overcome.
Getting started is quite simple. You can choose a Demo page to get acquainted first, or enter the address of a public website and press Destroy. After the page is converted into a level, your character appears inside the website interface.
From here, gameplay is no longer like normal web browsing. You move using A/D or arrow keys, jump with W, up arrow, or Space, and S or down arrow to go down. The mouse handles aiming and shooting. Hold down the left mouse button to fire, the right mouse button performs a secondary action, while the numbers on the keyboard or the mouse wheel change weapons.
The most notable aspect lies in the terrain. The site was a place to read or look at things. Now, it's a place you have to navigate through, ducking things and carving out space with weapons. So the layout of each page can make each match seem different.

You can experiment with different weaponry to break through different sections of the level and discover more advantageous paths. When encountering a densely packed page, observing before moving is just as important as shooting.
The game also features multiplayer. Players select the multiplayer mode on the main screen, create a room, and send the link to friends. Everyone needs to use a desktop browser. The server selects the website and starts the match, then the first player to reach 10 kills wins.
Multiplayer rooms use temporary data, so keep the game tab open throughout the match. Rooms with no active players will expire after about an hour.
Destroy Any Website works best with public websites. Sites requiring login, located on private networks, with paywalls, or blocking automated requests may not load. In that case, simply try a different address or return to the demo page.
The game also has a clear limitation: it's a desktop or laptop experience, requires a keyboard and mouse, and the browser window should be at least 1024 pixels wide. No account or software download is required.
More importantly, the "destruction" only exists within the game. What you shoot or break doesn't affect the real website or its data.
Destroy Any Website transforms something as familiar as a website into an explorationable, destructible, and combat-ready landscape.
