Commando Gun Shooting is a first-person shooter game that puts you in the role of a commando operating deep within enemy-controlled territory. Not every level requires simply finding and eliminating all enemies. Sometimes you have to defuse bombs before the clock runs out, other times you have to plant explosives in enemy bases, or find a way to reach hostages amidst a chaotic gunfight.
A notable feature of Commando Gun Shooting is that the objectives change with each mode. This prevents players from applying a single shooting strategy to every level.
The missions have varied amounts of pressure. With a gun fight you may concentrate on your aim. On a bomb mission observation and timing are more important. Additionally, the placement of the movement needs to be weighed during rescue missions as the goal is no longer the number of adversaries killed.
The game's weapons are separated into options with fairly distinct purposes. Pistols are good when you need mobility, SMGs are good when you need to get near, and machine guns are good if you need to deal with a bunch of targets in a short order.
You can utilise the money and diamonds gained during missions to increase your weapons damage, grip and range. So upgrading is not only about making your rifle more powerful, but also tuning it to your preferred fighting style.
The controls of the game are rather simple. WASD or the arrow keys to move, mouse to aim and rotate the camera angle, left mouse button to shoot and R to reload.
One of the most typical mistakes is to concentrate too much on the crosshairs and forget your own location. Bullets from all angles can swiftly empty your health bar, especially if you stand still for too long. The ability to move, to see what is going on around you and to reload at the proper moment is often as vital as aiming accurately.
Levels are linked from Level 1 onwards. Completing objectives unlocks subsequent stages and can earn up to three stars. At the end of each mission the results board will display how many kills, headshots, diamonds and accuracy.
This fact generates a fairly fascinating secondary objective: finishing a level is not necessarily the end. You can still go back and work on your accuracy or find strategies to get a higher score.
If you like FPS games with distinct goals, fast-paced action and a differentiation between targets, instead of merely constantly shooting down opponents, Commando Gun Shooting is a good fit for you.
